Leicestershire and Rutland by John Harrison

Copper engraved map on hand laid paper with later hand colouring.

John Harrison (active 1784-91) was a printer and publisher working in London in the later halve of the eighteenth century.  Working from 115 Newgate Street, he printed and published a small range of actuate maps, mostly based on John Cary's cartographic work. This large county map was published in his atlas 'Maps of the English Counties' published in 1791.  The engraver was E. Sudlow.

Map area is in good condition for age, engravings are clear. Some stains and browning. Hand colouring.
