electric guitar strings are manufactured with a bigger core and pure
nickel wrap then rollerwound to provide a 'beefy' feel with more volume
and tone. The plain strings are wound in a slightly bigger custom gauge
to match the bigger core of the wound strings to maintain the overall
gauge balance of the set.
