I am not sure of the date of this candle.  It is a Johann Gunter hand carved, hand painted candle.  The original labels are on the bottom, a foil seal with "Walldurn Baden - Wachswarenfabrik - Johann Gunter - Schutzmarke " and another sticker that says "Diese Kerze ist Gescmacksmuster Geschutzt"  (this candle is a registered design)  About 9" to the top wick.  That is a "lid" that you remove to burn the inside candle.  Thus an everlasting candle, as it can be replaced, yet the candle and carvings are preserved. The colors appear more muted than what my monitor shows.

This appears to be an area with a table and a strongbox underneath, several men and a guard at and around the table with one writing on a long scroll of paper.  A group of men, woman, and children appear to be before them for whatever is going on.  A lot of detail and nice coloring.  A copy of the original instructions for the insert candle, along with a history of the candles that I printed, will be enclosed.
