DOG DISTURBING A PHEASANT IN A LANDSCAPE

This small series consists of 12 very choice examples of late 18th, early 19thc works varying from flower designs to portraits.
All are within acid free mounts and are in fine to superb condition.
This fine pencil and watercolour of a dog disturbing a pheasant in a landscape is by an English artist W.Gunton.     He was a highly regarded painter of country scenes inthe early 19thc.    This example is as good as any of his works and has the additional attraction of having the original label of the shop from where it was bought circa 1840.    The label states  "Sold at Louisa Tyrrell's, Emporium of Fancy, 2 Greek Street, Soho"    Also See photo.    It is signed at bottom left. 
A very attractive item for any collection.
