The LAMINAR LIP is an inverted air foil material  attached above the top edge of the bike

windshields  which are designed perfectly to trap the air from flowing around the sides of

the windshield but redirect it to flow  over the top  by approximately 6- 8”(inches) above its

normal height ,there by lessening or eliminating buffeting altogether on riders helmet due to wind

 blast that may arise while  riding at high speeds. Hence the end result is a feel of much less  

turbulence effect that ensures  pleasant ride for the riders.

How are LIPs attached?

Each Laminar LIP is designed for a particular motorcycle model. There can be no

universal LIP. Mounting methods also differ. If possible existing windshield mounting

screw locations may be used. In most cases 3M Dual Lock^TM or 3M VHB tape is

used for attachment. These materials were designed to meet and surpass the rigors

 of attachment in an automotive environment.

What Material is used in the LIPs?

The LIP is made of an impact modified clear or smoked acrylic to make it more

 impact resistant as well as scratch resistant, this material is DOT approved.
