How to Use

In most cases a very small amount of the print head cleaner should clear any blockage due to dried ink, dust etc.

You can use a print head cleaning syringe kit (with head specific tools) or a syringe and ink tube or a syringe with wide front tip.
If possible try and place a paper towel (folded to size) on the inside of the printer, under the print head assembly. This paper towel will catch all the ink and solution coming out of the print heads and may assist in further cleaning of the heads.

Fill the syringe with some print head cleaner and place your print head cleaning tool or ink tube or the wide syringe tip over the print head.
Gently push the syringe to push 0.5 to 1ml cleaning fluid through. Do not put too much pressure and if the fluid is not getting pushed then the ink might need to be soaked for some time so leave everything connected for few minutes to allow the solution to soak the dried ink and break it down and then try pushing again.
Once you have been able to pass solution through all the heads, leave it for a couple of hours and then leave the paper towel (inserted at the start) and let the print heads/ print head assembly sit on it for a couple of hours. This allows the paper towel to continue to soak any remaining of ink or solution coming out and at the same time it allows it to break down any dried ink underneath the print heads/ print head assembly.

However, in some instances, specially when the nozzle check shows no ink, the ink may be solidified or too dry for any type of cleaning fluid to break down enough to pass through. This can happen if the printer has not been used for a long time.

In these instances you should:

Leave the paper towel inserted earlier or insert a fresh paper towel under the print heads/ print head assembly.
Try and leave the ink tube or wide tip syringe, filled with cleaning solution, over the print head for few hours, allowing it to further soak and then break down the ink.
When all the solution from the ink tube or wide tip syringe has passed through the head then gently push a little bit of more solution just to make sure the head is clean and then test the head again.
Try these steps for all the colors which are not working properly, after initial cleaning.
You might have to try these steps more than once.
