PART DETAILS:
THROTTLE POSITION SENSORS are variable voltage type sensors that are located near the base of the throttle body. This sensor provides the PCM with throttle plate movement necessary to optimize engine performance. Over time, the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR can fail due to excessive temperature, faulty wiring harnesses, contamination or normal wear and tear. Typical failure signs are hesitations during acceleration, engine struggles to idle efficiently, poor engine power, difficulty or delay in gear shifting and unusual surges while accelerating.
