Left Camshaft Fit 05-14 Ford Explorer F150 Mustang Mercury Mountaineer 4.6L 5.4L. The camshaft is an essential component of the combustion process that moves your car down the road. Its motion is responsible for instigating valve movement, which regulates the air/fuel mixture that fuels the �big bang.� The camshaft uses lobes (called cams) to push against and open the valves as the camshaft rotates (springs on the valves return them to their closed position) in sync with the pistons. Although camshafts are built to last, they sometimes break down and require replacement. A camshaft can fail for many different reasons: lobe failure due to lubrication issues or failed lifter, camshaft bearing journal failure due to lubrication issues, or camshaft breakage. The 90 day period is applied from the original date of purchase and is non-transferable. The limited warranty does not cover labor, any damages from accidents or installations, alterations, misuse or modifications not intended by the manufacturer. Warranty and exchanges may be limited to defective and or damaged items during transit to you.
All warranty claims must be authorized and returned prepaid to Performance Part for inspection and approval along with a filled out warranty form. This warranty does not cover or assume responsibility for any expenses, such as labor, towing, loading fluids, oils or car rentals.
Absolutely no exchanges will be made for any products that has been damaged, misused or improperly installed. We highly recommend that a licensed professional bear the responsibility of proper installation. The buyer also assumes risk of possible damage caused by improper installation.
