H.Ito Hishisei Made In Japan Vintage Black and Gold Tri-Footed Demitasse Tea Cup and Saucer
Beautiful and elegant demitasse/tea cup and saucer is white porcelain with gold and black on the outside borders depicting a beautiful picture of travelers on horseback arriving at an inn with mountain silhouettes trees and birds in the back ground. The black is a smooth, glossy glaze and the gold part is a matte soft finish. The cup is tri-footed with a tall fanciful handle. Heavily accented in gold. In very good pre-owned vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Well cared for, no gold wear. Cup holds two ounces of liquid. Measures 2" diameter x 2 5/8" High; including the handle it is 3 5/8" High. The saucer is 4 1/4" diameter. Hallmarked on the bottom, "Hishisei H.Ito" with wreath logo, "Japan Best Porcelain".
