Old Hutschenreuter
Silver-plate
Creamer
PRIMA ALP. NS
This old silver-plated creamer stands about 2 1.8" tall, has a base .25" diameter, weighs about 3.5 ounces and holds about 2 fluid ounces (5 cl). It has hallmarks that we have not been able to identify (please see photos). The photos pick up and exaggerate a bluish cast to the surface that is not as apparent to the naked eye.
This small old creamer has pleasing lines. It most likely was from a restaurant in Europe and has the usual scuffs and dings that such items acquire with time. The silver-plating is PRIMA ALP., a high quality plating. The PRIMA NS part of the mark, we understand, is used primarily in Swedish pieces. Also, the name "Hutschenreuter" (which is how it appears on this piece) is usually spelled "Hutschenreuther."
We are selling two other small creamers with this one. We include a photo of them at the end of the pictures. We also include at the beginning of the photos a picture of this creamer, polished.
