Beware of some sellers selling cheap CCA cable which is in fact Copper clad aluminium made in China from old drinks cans, I use top grade real copper cable made by Excel etc and costs over 3 times the price of CCA!

Uses a special and expensive extended Shielded RJ11 plug these are much stronger/better crimp so stop any chance of cable pull out due to the cable being strained at angles!

No one else makes cables like this, its unique they require special tooling and connectors etc to make there fore the price is more expensive.


The BT filtered face plate will take the bigger RJ45 plug (this cable will fit most BT filtered face plates even older ones)

Note about the poor quality CCA Copper Clad Aluminium cables

CCA has higher attenuation properties than pure copper cable, this will result in more packets of data having to be retransmitted when it is corrupted or lost at the physical layer

You cannot call any 'Copper clad aluminium'  cable a Category cable or patch lead, as this is an industry technical reference that belongs to the USA TIA and the ISO International Standards Committees. Category cables or patch leads can only use
 Pure Copper!
