Premium or first grade apricot kernels are hand-sorted to the highest of standards. Inferior grades are removed by hand, leaving only the best of each batch. They must be free of blemished and substandard seed, shell and other contaminants, such as moth eggs, moth webbing and mould. These contaminants can be found in the other "premium" kernel available, which, of course, means they are not truly premium or first grade. We guarantee none of these undesirables will be found among our kernels

This product is labelled as, 'Raw Apricot Kernels, for the preparation of body scrubs and oils'. Please be aware that the consumption of raw apricot kernels may result in adverse reactions. Raw apricot kernels contain amygdalin, which releases naturally occurring hydrocyanic acid. This is toxic in excess.
It is the opinion of Food Standards Australia/NZ and the Department of Health that raw apricot kernels should not be consumed.
