Also referred to as a vacuum switch or air draft switch, the pressure switch will have a hose/tube that connects from the vacuum switch to either the combustion blower or rear firewall. The pressure switch senses air pressure in the firebox and the exhaust venting; any air losses or blockages can trip the pressure switch not allowing the auger feed motor to operate.
When inspecting or replacing your pressure switch, it’s very important to check the hose/tubing to ensure it’s fitting tightly to both the switch and stove and that there are no cracks/splits/breaks in the hose.
