or install your original drive circuit board(PCB) into this newly purchased drive.

Also, Sony switched the laser lens module for this particular model toward the very end of it product cycle.

99% of the CECHH01 consoles use a dual lens module KES-410A and 1% chance that they use a single lens KES-400A.

But only the correct one would work for your console.

The surest way is to open up your Blu-ray drive and read the sticker on the laser module.

If the sticker reads KES-400A, then this item does NOT work for you.

This includes the entire module with the diode + spin motor + deck + drive

  • Be aware of vendors that offer longer warranties without covering the diode.  Because majority of the time the diode is the problem when your laser fails.
  • Be aware of vendors that offer 6 months or extended warranties. If you have been using EBAY for a while, you probably notice that after 60 days you will not be able to open a case here on EBAY. Then, you ask yourself how are you going to chase after these vendors for the extended warranties that they promised
