Miracle fruit, also known by many other names such as miracle berry, miracle tree, miraculous berry, miracle berry, and magic fruit, is an evergreen shrub that can also be trained as a standard tree. This truly amazing plant produces tiny red berries that when eaten, turn sour and bitter foods sweet. Miracle fruit has no scent, and a slightly sweet taste that's hard to describe. You might wonder what the big deal is with this fruit? The fruit's white pulp tricks the taste buds into making lemons taste as sweet as lemonade; this is caused by a glycoprotein in the fruit, appropriately named miraculin, attaching to your taste buds and inhibiting the reception of sour and bitter flavors. This causes miracle fruit to be a true miracle for diabetics because it gives them the ability to eat "sweet" food again. It is also great for chemotherapy patients because the berry causes people to feel hungry and gets rid of the metallic taste that chemotherapy patients usually have. The plants are shipped in a small pot with soil to avoid the dangers of bare root shipping and transplant shock. Each pot is wrapped in plastic to retain moisture and to prevent the box from becoming soggy. I am not liable for plant(s) left outdoors for extended periods of time. If you live in an area experiencing temperatures below freezing, please collect your package during the same day of delivery to ensure the plants survive.  If the plant dies due to USPS mishandling, please message me a picture of how the plants arrived and I will replace them. If the plant(s) is/are in the buyers possession for more then one week from the delivery date, I am not liable for its death. Please do not transplant (repot) your plants until at least 2 weeks after delivery. The growing instructions say to wait at least 2 weeks to help the plants acclimate to their new climate. I am not liable for plants transferred outside of their original container within 2 weeks of delivery.
