Details: "It is morning, and every thing is waking up. Birds are waking up the way birds wake up. Pigs are waking up the way pigs wake up. And children are waking up, too." The book tells how each animal wakes up...the bird, the horse, the dog (and her pups), the fish, the pigs, the bear, the lambs, the cat (and her kittens), and the child. Then we go on to noon with each animal and finally night (bedtime).
The book is illustrated with delightful pictures in both black and white and in color. The picture on the front cover of the book is of a small boy feeding an apple to a horse and a group of other animals. The endpapers are illustrated.
A great book to add to your collection of children's books!
Condition: The book is showing edge and surface wear; the corners are showing through; there is a name in the front with a date (Christmas 1943); the inner hinge paper in the front is cracked; the inner hinge paper in the back is beginning to crack; some pages have a crease in them near the spine; otherwise the book is in good condition with a firm binding and clean pages.
