  • Approximate Number of Links for each length option are as follows:
    • 0.5 inches = 3 links
    • 1 inch = 5 links
    • 1.5 inches = 8 links
    • 2 inches = 10 links
    • 2.5 inches = 12 links
    • 3 inches = 15 links
    • 3.5 inches = 17 links
    • 4 inches = 20 links
  • Longer lengths, additional configurations and higher quantities can usually be added by request

    • Necklace and Choker Extenders are usually 2 to 4 inches
    • Bracelet or Anklet Extenders are usually 1.5 inches or less (unless additional length is needed to make it fit)
    • Safety Chains should be long enough that they do not interfere with the main clasp, but short enough that it will keep the bracelet from slipping off your wrist if the main clasp opens.

Charm Details...

• The Eyelet Tag, Beaver-Tail, Solid Heart, Open Heart and Half-Moon Charms have FLAT BACKS.
• The Small Star and Medium Star are double-sided (both sides look the same)
• All other charms are one-sided, with concave (recessed) backs.
• The Beaver-Tail, Fleur-de-Lis and Diamond-Shaped Charms are Antique Silver-Plated (amount of antiquing varies between charms)
• The Eyelet Tag and all other charms are Silver-Plated.
• The measurement noted for each charm in the selection menu above represents the approximate (hand-measured) TOTAL HEIGHT of the charm, from the top of the loop/highest point of the charm to the bottom/lowest point of the charm.

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)...

Q: I need a different color or chain thickness; do you have other Extender Chain options available?

A: YES! I have several different options available (and more are "coming soon"!). You can find all my Extender Chain listings in my Clasp Converters and Extenders eBay store category.

Q: Why do you use Split Rings instead of standard Jump Rings?

A: Split Rings -- also called "double rings" -- work like tiny key rings, so they do not pull open the way Jump Rings can. A Jump Ring is a single ring that has been cut, so that it can be used to join to components together; this type of connectiong can be broken by applying enough force to the Jump Ring that it pulls open. It is much harder to pull open a Split Ring. (The Jewelry Findings Page in my eBay store has more information about jewelry components.)

Q: How much will a Lobster Clasp add to the total length of the Extender Chain?

A: A Lobster Clasp added to one end of the chain will add approximately one half of an inch to the total end-to-end length. (A Lobster Clasp on BOTH ends, will add approximately 1 inch.)

Q: How accurate are your photos? And where do you get them?

A: All my photos are of actual sample items or components, and are as representative of what will be received as possible. Due to differences between display types, display settings, dye lots and other factors, actual color(s) may vary from what you see on your screen. Unless otherwise noted, all photos were taken by me.

• All U.S. shipping options include a corrugated cardboard box for maximum protection in transit.

• For orders shipping outside the U.S.: the "First Class" option ships in a corrugated cardboard box; the lower cost "Standard" option ships in a Bubble Mailer. (USPS First Class International is the actual shipping method for both options.)

• Additional jewelry items can be added to your order with no additional shipping charge! (Combined shipping discounts are automatically applied by the eBay system during checkout, and only apply to orders that are paid for with a single combined payment.)
