Xcut POINTED BUTTERFLY 'palm punch' (hole punch)

Now only available in 3/8"(9mm)

Size is the distance from wing tip to wing tip.

The sizes in inches are the manufacturers sizes and are only approximate, but the millimeter sizes are reasonably accurate as measured by us.

The punches can be held and viewed from underneath for accurate positioning of the cut

We recommend up to a maximum of 300gsm card

They will NOT accommodate the 2mm funky foam or thin felt, as the slot is too narrow, but on the plus side, they're more robust than the earlier Xcut punches and they take less effort to use

Combine with other items for postal savings.

The punched images of all of the 1" and 5/8" punches start between 9mm and 11mm from the edge of the page and the 3/8" punches at 6 to 8mm.
They all punch the correct way up when punched from the bottom of the page.

Despite the manufacturers advice of using a minimum of 90gsm paper, for the more intricate designs we recommend a minimum paper weight of 120gsm and a maximum of 260gsm, or with the simple designs such as circles, stars and squares, etc. you can use a maximum of 300gsm.
Subject to the individual characteristics of each design, using less than 120gsm is likely to jam the punch, or result in an incomplete cut, so if you do need to cut thin paper, such as 80gsm or similar, or even tissue paper, or crepe, then it can be achieved by making the thin paper the content of a sandwich of 3 sheets, with an 80gsm sheet either side if it.
This will total around 180gsm and that will cut cleanly, even with (subject to the intricacy) up to 6 sheets of tissue in the sandwich making a total of just under 300gsm, subject to the quality (weight) of the tissue paper.
