*NOTE: K7 INDICATOR RELAY ELECTRONIC 1967 Cougar - When converting to LED bulbs the dash indicator lights will stop working because the original thermal flasher will stop working because LED bulbs do not draw enough current to activate it. To solve this problem Cougars Unlimited LLC makes Electronic Flasher can replacements. They work with either LED or Incandescent bulbs.

*NOTE: TURN SIGNAL SWITCH – All turn signal switches sold by Cougars Unlimited LLC are for use with LED bulbs only. The reason for this is applicable vehicles are now over 50 years old the current that sequencing systems draw have greatly increased over time. This is because of the original wiring harnesses and connectors are deteriorating increasing the resistance. Higher the resistance the higher the current draw across the switch. The current is now so high on most vehicles that it exceeds the ratting of the switches, causing them to prematurely fail. The only solution is to convert to LED bulbs, they draw far less current. On vehicles that have converted to LED the turn signal switches are not failing. The only other solution is to replace the complete wiring harness which is expensive, and in most cases not possible.

When converting to LED bulbs Cougars Unlimited LLC strongly recommends using WCCC1157RPR (Red for rear) LED bulbs and WCCC1157YPR (Yellow for front) LED bulbs. They have a built in current limiting diode. This stops the reverse current flow that causes sequential turn signal systems to malfunction.
