Two (2) rare, full and unstruck 1940's vintage front strike matchbooks in near mint condition from the River Room Restaurant and The Sandbar Cocktail Lounge both located in the famous Congress Hotel at S.W. 6th & Main in Portland, Oregon. The 119 room Congress Hotel opened in 1912 and was the place to stay and hang out in Portland. The old hotel was demolished in 1977. The sad end of an era.
