Lettow-Vorbeck's Soldiers by Walther Dobbertin.  143 pages, 120 photos, 7" by 10" printed hardcover.  Originally published in 1932 as Die Soldaten Lettow-Vorbeck, this is a dual language (English/German) reprint.  Dobbertin was a commercial photographer in German East Africa prior to World War I.  When all German men were mobilized in August 1914 to defend the colony, Dobbertin became, in effect, the only combat photographer on the German side.  He performed this function until his capture in 1916.  Lettow-Vorbeck's Soldiers has 120 of his best photos for this campaign.  It is particularly important for it honors the service of the many black German troops.  The book is in new condition.  This is a limited edition reprint of 500 copies.  Published 2005.
