Kansas City & Gulf History:
Andre Ming spent decades developing the Kansas City & Gulf, a fictional railroad with detailed locomotive rosters, operating practices, and an extensive historical background.
According to Andre's published KC&G diesel roster history, the railroad began acquiring EMD F3 locomotives in 1947, assigning them numbers beginning at 300. Additional F3 locomotives arrived in 1948, followed by EMD F7s as dieselization continued.
This #311 represents the early generation of diesel road power that helped establish Andre's Kansas City & Gulf railroad.
Andre extensively documented his railroad through the Model Railroad Hobbyist community, including his long-running project, "Meet the KC&G: Mainline to the Gulf."
