This listing features a brilliant antique cast iron wall-hanging match safe and ashtray plaque cleverly designed to form a stylized face. The two upper angled cups form the "eyes" and function as holders for individual matchboxes or loose matchsticks, while the open lower trough forms the "mouth" to catch ash or store spent matches. Complete with its original factory-drilled keyhole mounting slot at the top and small border holes for a secure fit, this heavy-duty, self-contained piece brings incredible character to a cabin, garage workbench, hearthside mantel, or retro smoking lounge.

Condition:
The item is in great antique primitive condition. The solid cast iron frame is exceptionally heavy, structurally intact, and completely free of any cracks, chips, or weld repairs. It retains its old, authentic matte black/dark iron finish with light age-appropriate surface dust, minor handling marks, and faint traces of historic adhesive residue on the reverse side from a previous mounting pad, all of which beautifully underscore its age and utility.

Summary:
This unique cast iron "face" combination match safe is a fantastic crossover collectible, bridging classic country primitives with early 20th-century novelty tobacciana. Its rugged cast texture and whimsical design make it an excellent addition to a specialized antique display or a wonderful standalone accent piece for any rustic or industrial interior.
