Up for auction/sale is nicely made vintage / antique violin that has been in climate-controlled storage for many years. It is being sold in a state of mid-repair, ready for final restoration.

Labeled: Jos. Melichar Kromeriz (sometime read as Dof. Melichar Kromeriz)

BODY LENGTH: 358 mm

CONDITION: The top is off, the longer crack running short of the soundpost area is closed and cleated. The short crack on the other side of the saddle is closed and has a cleat. There are small top cracks on either side of the neck block. The back is without damage.  There are cosmetic issues consistent with use and age. No pegs, nut, saddle, end button. When repairs are complete, it needs a complete set-up (soundpost, bridge, tailpiece, strings).

The photos are part of the condition report, so please examine closely.  The violin is being sold as-is for restoration so please ask questions before bidding.
