Vintage French green glass hand blown carboy / demijohn. Surrounded by original handwoven wicker basket and contains the original cork bung. The glass is protected inside the wicker basket by a layer of straw. The top section of the wicker is tucked into the main body of the wicker basket and does pull out if you wanted to take the glass carboy out to use as a vase or other home decor for your home (see photo showing the slight gap where I’ve pulled it up slightly). Would make a fabulous terrarium. I’ve not removed the wicker so as to protect the glass. The glass will need cleaning underneath it if you do decide to have it without the wicker basket on it. Lovely old thing! Bought in Provence but not being used so having a clear out. In good condition for its age.
