Family group Dad's Beret, badges jumper, shorts and son's 15th Battalion Beret, pictures etc. A rare group untested with. The early WW2 Beret is quite different to the 1950s one ,if you know you know !. The markings are very faint but show up more in ultraviolet light but I cannot make the date out on the older one but quite sure its WW2 example after research. The 50s Beret is very hard to find in original form. A.R. Smith family see pictures. The woolen shorts and jumper have moth damage , the older Beret has some light nips. I've had an ultraviolet light on the inside of the older Beret and the WD marking is present and looks like 3. 44 . The lining also has the stitched in hesian band as correct for WW2 Berets. See pictures.
