This is a new old stock (NOS) blank brass clock dial plate manufactured by the Lowther / Lonsdale company of England. [1] The plate features an elegant, etched foliate cartouche in the center under the "Lonsdale England" maker's mark, framed by matching scrolling corner spandrels. Because it is new old stock, it was never completedit is missing the chapter ring (the circular track where Roman or Arabic hour numerals would be printed or attached), the winding holes, and the center arbor hole for the clock hands.

The Lowther Group (under their Lonsdale line) was a traditional British clockmaking firm based in Swaffham, Norfolk. They specialized in high-quality mechanical bracket clocks, carriage clocks, and longcase clocks. Unfinished parts like this are a great find for clock restorers, hobbyists looking to build custom timepieces, or collectors who display them as standalone decorative metalwork.
