1937 ex library first edition of "Swords and Iris: Stories of the Japanese Doll Festivals" by Lilian Holmes Strack with pictures by Bunji Tagawa. It was published by Harper & Brothers of New York. Beautiful color frontispiece that looks like it is done on handmade paper; all other illustrations are black line drawings. Fantastic sticker of original bookseller (Levinson's of Sacramento) on last pasted endpaper.

CONDITION:
Dust Jacket: NONE
Book: GOOD
(Poor-->Fair-->Good-->Very Good-->Excellent-->Mint):
Ex library - remains of checkout pocket plus library stamps in several places. No dust jacket. Binding is nice and tight, no loose pages. Tiny rip in frontispiece page (doesn't go into image); otherwise no rips or tears. I did find one page with a line marked on it and the foot edge of the text blook has some light marks, but otherwise pages are clean. Tanning, especially on front free endpapers. Cover has some soiling and bumped corners.

I aim to please, and describe every item to the best of my ability. But please note that my vintage items often received frequent use back in their day, so may show visible signs of wear and age. Personally, I wouldn't have it any other way, as I treasure those marks of the past.
