VINTAGE NUT BAKELITE RESIN BIRD ASHTRAY HARDWOOD BASE NOT yz !!
All as per the images and title. All in very good condition. A sweet little colourful thing. It has a fancy nut body, orange resin/bakelite head, similar yellow beak and red feet, with hollow green legs through which steel pins are inside ( I imagine ) to support the little bird onto a hard wood base ( probably walnut ) . base measures approx. 3 3/4 x 2 3/8 and it stands a maximum of 2 7/8 inches high. I can't spot any manufacturers mark so it's most likely not to be " YZ ", although similar to that type of thing. A pretty cute little piece all the same, I would have thought that originally it would have had a little sit in round metal tray to the recess in the wood of approx. 5cm diameter.
