EXCEPTIONAL ART DECO NEIGER BROTHERS NECKLACE
Presenting a distinctive Neiger Brothers uranium glass necklace, dating to the Art Deco period and featuring jade green and cream moulded glass beads with moulded elephant decoration.
The necklace is composed of individually knotted glass beads, including moulded elephant beads, elongated cream beads and smaller jade green glass beads. The large central elephant bead is the principal focal point, with further elephant beads incorporated throughout the necklace. The cream beads feature subtle moulded detailing, with darker accents settled into the recessed areas of the decoration, enhancing the relief and lending the beads a wonderful sense of age and antiquity. The jade green beads provide a pleasing contrast throughout.
Under a UV black light, the glass produces a wonderfully vivid green fluorescence, adding another fascinating dimension to this early 20th-century Czech jewellery. Produced by the Neiger Brothers of Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, this is a charming example for collectors of Art Deco jewellery, Czech glass and uranium glass.
