Up for auction we have the United States $4 Columbian stamp issued in 1893, in rose carmine color. It is unused with original gum, and has been certified by The Philatelic Foundation in 1984. This stamp, cataloged as Scott #244a, is a valuable collector's item due to its high denomination and historical significance from the late 19th century. Catalog value is $2,000, $1,000 for no gum.
Framed in an antique frame for preservation. The opinion states: It is a genuine Scott 244a, Rose Carmine shade, with a horizontal crease and a thin spot covered by hinge remnants. Thank you for taking the time to view my auction. Remember, multiple purchases will save on shipping.
