Very nice restored JOSEPH ELLIOT'S - MAGNUM BONUM - straight razor. Razor has been disassembled, cleaned, polished, new bevel set, honed and waxed and is shave ready. Blade is nice, but does have lots of residual patina and spotting/pitting, on both sides of blade and top of spine. Overall though, a very nice and massive blade. See pics for details. Moderate hone wear. Blade was finished honing on a vintage Thuringian stone using one layer of tape on spine. 

Blade width at widest point measures at over 8/8ths.

Razor length is 6 5/8ths inches. 

Blade is approximately a near wedge. Huge beefy blade. 

No jimps on shank. 

Front of shank is stamped - JOSEPH ELLIOT' S - BEST SILVER STEEL . Back side is blank. Front side of blade is etched MAGNUM BONUM (Good or great thing). 

Scales are brand new custom made ANTIQUE PEARL KIRINITE. Wedge is CORIAN. Reproduction bullseye brass pins. Scales were made by myself. They look even better in person. Pins are tight and blade closes slightly off center, but does not catch. Even still, care should be taken when closing blade.
