Large Oversized Pin Plug Gages 3/8" to 2" - Plus Sized for Nominal SAE Sizes.
These have no manufacturer on them and may be shop-made, however they are very nice and very well made. I got these from a closed Tool & Die shop. Appear to be nearly perfect - I have taken numerous pics to try to showcase the condition of all of them. A little bit of rub marks and old dustings of surface rust here and there.
There are 12 in total. All have 3" knurled handles and centers in both ends, as well as stampings indicating their sizes. The complete list:
2.0020 (10" usable length)
1.7515 (10" usable length)
1.6265 (10" usable length)
1.5015 (10" usable length)
1.3765 (10" usable length)
1.2515 (8" usable length)
1.0015 (8" usable length)
.8765 (8" usable length)
.7506 (8" usable length)
.6256 (6" usable length)
.5006 (6" usable length)
.3756 (6" usable length)
As you can see, they are all slightly oversized. I assume these would be gages to allow for a very tight slip fit for a nominal sized shaft/bolt in a precision bore. More accurate than a bore gage as they would be able to determine the concentricity and straightness of the entire bores, presumably.
These weigh about 50lb all together.
