Microsoft Windows 98 (First Edition) – Dell OEM Kit – Factory Sealed

A factory-sealed Windows 98 OEM kit that Dell shipped with its new PCs. It’s still in the original shrink wrap with the Certificate of Authenticity, the CD-ROM, and the boot floppy. It’s a great choice for a period-correct Dell build, for a retro PC that needs a legitimate license, or for collectors of sealed 90s software.

Condition Notes

• Still factory sealed. The shrink wrap shows minor wrinkling and handling wear (see photos).
• Because the package is sealed, the CD and floppy have not been tested. Their condition is judged from photos only.
• A Dell inventory barcode sticker (“9805C”) is on the CD sleeve, as originally shipped.
• OEM software was meant to be sold with a new PC. Microsoft no longer provides support or activation services for Windows 98.

Shipping

• I ship on Fridays and Saturdays. Orders placed during the week are packed and shipped at the end of the week, and some packages go out on Monday.
• Packed flat and protected so the seal and book aren’t damaged in transit.
