This SME 3009 tonearm was tested before listing and moves as it should. The horizontal and vertical pivot bearings move smoothly, the cueing lever lifts and lowers the arm correctly, and the sliding counterweight and anti-skate wire mechanism both function properly.
There is scattered discoloration and light surface spotting on the counterweight units. The black rubber boot covering the gimbal bearing joint shows some fraying.
No cartridge or stylus is included. Sound output could not be tested without a cartridge mounted.
