Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing.
This 1981 Tokai LS-60 CHSB is a solid top electric guitar made in Japan, featuring a slightly quilted maple top and a mahogany back. The neck and headstock have professional repairs that are neat and reliable. The guitar has been maintained with cleaning on the body, neck, fingerboard, and frets. The frets show 80-90% life remaining and provide no significant buzzing or sound issues. The neck is almost straight with truss rod adjustment range remaining and fully functional.
The guitar currently has Deluxe tuners replacing a Schaller type. Both pickups have been replaced with recent Tokai MK-II models. The original design lacks a pickguard, confirmed by the absence of screw holes. The body width at frets 0-12 is measured between 43.8mm to 52.7mm. The guitar weighs approximately 4.3kg. The neck is made of mahogany, the fretboard of rosewood with trapezoid inlays, and the body has a solid maple top over mahogany.
There are small scratches and marks consistent with use, as well as a missing truss rod cover. The guitar was professionally adjusted, including the truss rod, and electronics inspected. No major structural damage was noted. A soft case is included as a bonus. The guitar is in good vintage used condition and ready to play.
