Extremely early signature of famous silent movie star Harrold Lloyd at the start of his career.  Check is from the Rolin Film Company which was the original name of Hal Roach Studios founded in 1914.  Check is signed on the front by Dwight Whiting who was general manager and treasurer plus is credited as production manager on a few movies in 1916.  He also was one of the founders of Santa Anita Racetrack and the Santa Anita Turf Club.

On the back of the check is Lloyd signature where he abbreviates his first and middle initials.  Then there is an interesting notation below the signature signed by Dwight Whiting indicating the above signature of Lloyd is correct.  He must have reviewed all signed checks.

Check is in overall solid condition showing some wear.  I acquired this check from a nice Hollywood collection  of vintage photographs and memorabilia.
