Bright 3LCD picture in lit rooms

The EB-L210W puts out 4500 lumens of both colour and white light, so slides, spreadsheets and photos stay readable with the lights on and the blinds open. In eco mode it still gives 3100 lumens.

Three separate LCD panels handle red, green and blue, which keeps colours as bright as the whites and avoids the rainbow effect seen on single-chip projectors. The native panel is WXGA 1280 x 800 in 16:10, HD ready, with a contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1 and up to 1.07 billion colours. Colour modes: Dynamic, Presentation, Cinema, sRGB and Blackboard.

Wireless sharing and split screen

Wireless sharing and split screen

Wireless LAN is built in, so a laptop, tablet or phone can show its screen without a cable.

  • Screen Mirroring (Miracast) with PIN code support and the user name shown on connection, so a teacher or host keeps control of what goes on screen
  • Epson iProjection app for iOS, Android and Chromebook, with up to 50 connected devices
  • Split screen shows two or four sources on one projector, for example a presentation next to a video call

Installation and throw distance

The throw ratio is 1.41-2.26:1 with a 1.62x manual optical zoom, so you can set the image size without moving the projector. It projects from 30 to 300 inches at a distance of 0.9 m to 9.1 m.

Vertical keystone is automatic up to ±30° and horizontal keystone is manual up to ±30°. The projector can sit on a desk or go on a ceiling mount, and at 4.2 kg it is easy to move between rooms.

Quick Corner for awkward positions

Quick Corner for awkward positions

Quick Corner lets you move each corner of the image separately, so the projector does not have to sit square to the screen. Handy when it has to be tilted or placed off to one side on a shelf or table.

Connections on the back

  • 2 x HDMI (HDCP 2.2)
  • 2 x VGA computer input and VGA monitor output
  • Composite video input
  • USB-A (2 A supply for a streaming stick or dongle) and USB-B
  • Ethernet LAN (100 Base-TX / 10 Base-T) and RS-232C
  • Audio inputs, audio output and a microphone input
  • Built-in wireless LAN and Wi-Fi Direct

The projector switches itself on when it detects an HDMI signal, which suits meeting room systems, and HDMI CEC lets a connected source and the projector power up together.

Controls, sound and everyday use

Controls, sound and everyday use

The top panel has the main buttons and status lights, and a sliding A/V mute shutter over the lens blanks the picture in a second without switching off. There is a 16 W built-in speaker for presentations and video in a meeting room, plus a microphone input.

It works with an Epson document camera, and OSD Copy transfers menu settings from one projector to others, which saves time when you set up several rooms the same way.

Laser light source and running costs

The laser needs no warm-up and there are no lamps to replace. It is rated for 20000 hours in normal mode and 30000 hours in eco mode.

Fan noise is 37 dB in normal mode and 27 dB in eco mode. Power consumption is 260 W in normal mode and 199 W in eco mode (peak values).
