The Osmo Mobile 8P is DJI’s flagship phone-follow gimbal. The headline upgrade is Osmo FrameTap — a detachable remote with live view mirroring, so rear-camera selfies and distance shots are no longer blind. The 3-axis system uses 8th-gen stabilization, a built-in 215mm extension rod, and an upgraded integrated tripod for low-angle / 360° pan / group vlogs. ActiveTrack 8.0 holds people in crowded concerts/sports; Apple DockKit lets iPhones track inside native/third-party camera apps. Battery is ～10h and the gimbal can top up the phone over USB-C. 💡 Usage Tips

• NFC-tap iPhone → DockKit tracking works in native Camera, great for FaceTime/streaming without Mimo.

• FrameTap is best for rear-camera selfies / product walkthroughs / gym & kitchen wide shots — you see framing while standing in front of the phone.

• For low-angle car/pet shots: fold tripod, tilt pan axis down, extend rod — no floor-crawl.

• 360° spin + Slow Shutter = club/light-trail reels; use tripod mode so the base stays put.

• If runtime drops fast, it’s probably phone charging + Module 2 + fill light; turn phone-charge off for long walks.

• OM 7-series magnetic clamp fits, but Clamp 5 is smaller and blocks less screen.

• Standard Combo has no Multifunctional Module 2 — vehicle/object tracking + bi-color fill light need the module.

• DockKit = iPhone only; Android needs Mimo for full intelligent follow.

• Not waterproof — FrameTap + gimbal hate rain/beach spray.

• Phone reverse-charge costs gimbal time — don’t leave it on during 8h travel days.

• Foldables / thick cases: total thickness must stay ≤11mm in clamp.
