Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing.
This 2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar, made in the USA, features a chambered body weighing approximately 3.5kg (7.7 lbs). It is equipped with a Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 neck pickup with braided wiring and a numbered bridge pickup from the late 1970s. The bridge and tailpiece are Kluson parts, and the pickup covers, escutcheon, pickguard, and toggle plate are from the Montreux Retro Vibe and Time Machine collections. The knobs are relic-style and from YJB Parts.
The guitar has a regular model body with long tenons and the electronics have been modified from the original PCB to conventional parts, including CTS potentiometers, capacitors, toggle switch, jack, wiring, and tuners of unknown brands. The semi-hollow body construction results in a semi-acoustic tone, with the acoustic sound having an airy quality. The neck profile resembles a '58 style. It shows signs of use such as fret wear on strings 2 to 4 between frets 4 to 15, slight buzzing depending on string action and position, occasional electrical contact faults, and repair on the front neck-side escutcheon where glue and tape are applied due to cracking. The front finish coloration differs between artificial and natural lighting.
Serial number 131308 is present, confirming manufacture in 2008. The guitar includes a Gibson-branded hard case with some dirt. Please consider the visible wear and modifications carefully before purchasing. Photos show the actual item and condition in detail.
