One side depicts a steamship above a map and states that the token was molded from salvaged ships of the U.S.A. Emergency Fleet and presented by Ford. The opposite side features a Viking longship and an inscription connecting Norse exploration with modern trade. This type is cataloged as copper, although some references describe it as bronze; the exact alloy of this example has not been tested.
