Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing.
This is an Ibanez IMG2010 from 1986, part of the X-ING series designed as a MIDI electric guitar system. It features a distinctive headless design with a proprietary bridge system, tailored for integration with guitar synthesizers. The guitar has a maple body and neck with an ebony fingerboard, offering 22 frets. It is equipped with two humbucking pickups and a 24-pin connector for MIDI output in addition to a standard guitar output.
Controls include Master Volume, Sensitivity, Velocity, CTL Change, Balancer (MIDI⇔GUITAR), Master Tone, Mode switch, and Pickup Selector. The nut width is 42mm. The instrument weighs approximately 4.4 kg. The fret condition is about 90% remaining, and the truss rod adjustment has ample room.
Condition shows minor scratches, dents, and scuffs including some marks on the back of the headstock and body. The neck is in good shape. Electronics have been cleaned and tested with no noted faults, except that the MIDI functionality and the BALANCE knob operation remain unverified due to lack of testing equipment for the 24-pin GK cable.
This guitar underwent full cleaning, neck and string height adjustment, and electrical cleaning. It comes with a hard case and MIDI cable. Serial number F863070 is confirmed on the instrument. Please note the item is sold as-is with the stated unverified MIDI function as a condition point.
