This is a fabulous antique Victorian winder key for a pocket watch.
It features an ornate cast brass body with a gold gilt finish and a gilded steel winding pipe at the base.
It is double sided with a citrine (or similar) stone set in one side and white chalcedony to the other.
The key has a suspension loop for attaching to pocket watch chains, Albertina's, chatelaines or necklaces etc.
This circa 150 or so year old piece is in excellent condition with some cosmetic signs of its very considerable age and a truly wonderful example.
