This the 2nd of two Zuni-made bolo ties I am offering this evening. It represents a Thunderbird I believe.
It features 23 stones (jet, MOP, turquoise, coral) inlaid in sterling silver. The back features a "Bennett Pat. Pend." fastener suggesting a 1970's-1980's time of creation. This is a large bolo slide measuring approximately 3" by 2." It is not signed but is an almost exact duplicate (same pattern, some differing stones) of a Mary Jane Edaakie Thunderbird I've had in the past.
The cord and sterling silver tips are newer additions. The cord is a bit stiff, could use some leather conditioner.
Condition: Nicely developed patina. The stones are all present. No losses or chips apparent. A few minor surfaces scratches evident (under magnification). One of the small coral inlays may have a tiny stable partial hairline vs a scratch. See pictures.
