Beautiful and hard-to-find vintage 1957 Arranbee / R&B Nanette #1809 18" Glamour Fashion Lady doll with her original outfit and accessories, plus a large additional vintage doll wardrobe.
I originally believed this doll was a Miss Revlon due to their very similar appearance. After further research, she was identified as Arranbee Nanette #1809. I was able to locate another documented #1809 example wearing the identical original ensemble.
ORIGINAL NANETTE ITEMS INCLUDE:
• Yellow floral floor-length formal gown with sheer floral overskirt, black velvet and white lace neckline, and black bow detail
• Black open-toe high heels
• Rhinestone-style necklace
• Matching bracelet
• Pear-shaped earrings
• Original-style bra and girdle/panties shown in photos
She has a vinyl head and hard plastic body with rooted brunette/auburn hair, sleep eyes, pierced ears, swivel waist, high-heel feet, and painted fingernails and toenails.
DOLL CONDITION:
She is in great overall vintage condition and displays beautifully. Her facial coloring is lovely, eyes open and close, and her hair retains much of its vintage styling. She has normal age-related marks/wear as shown in the photographs and may benefit from some light cleaning.
The elastic on the bra has stretched with age. It was temporarily twisted at the back for photographs to help it stay in place.
ADDITIONAL WARDROBE:
Also included is the large assortment of vintage commercially manufactured doll clothing shown in the photographs. These additional garments are period/vintage clothing that came with the doll but are NOT being represented as original Arranbee Nanette #1809 clothing.
The additional wardrobe includes multiple dresses/formal gowns, robe/nightwear, separates and other pieces shown.
CLOTHING CONDITION:
The clothing is overall in nice vintage condition for its age, but some pieces have age-related staining, discoloration, soiling and/or other wear and would benefit from careful cleaning. I have not attempted to clean or restore the vintage fabrics.
