An authentic late-19th / early-20th century French antique mechanical pyramid metronome by Maelzel Paquet (Métronome de Paris).

Housed in a solid wooden case with its original front brass maker's plaque/cartouche ("Maelzel Métronome de Paris") and removable front door cover panel. Features a traditional brass pendulum scale and weighted slider.

Mechanical Function: Tested and in working order—once tensioned/started, the internal clockwork mechanism ticks smoothly and holds tempo. Please note: sold without the original winding key (the side winding arbor is standard square size and easily turned or fitted with a cheap replacement key).

An exceptional display piece for classical musicians, antique interior styling, film/theatrical props, or vintage instrument collectors.
