A wonderful vintage German studio pottery set originating from the historic Westerwald region (known as the Kannenbäckerland), famous for its centuries-old tradition of salt-glazed stoneware. This traditional service includes a large pouring pitcher and four matching tumblers/beakers.
The set is crafted from dense grey stoneware with a signature pebble-textured salt glaze, beautifully contrasted by rich, hand-painted cobalt blue foliate and floral scrolling brushwork. Banded collars frame the pitcher's neck and base, showcasing quintessential German country-barware craftsmanship.
It is stamped W. Germany with a number on the base of the jug it is very hard toread.

Condition Report
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The salt glaze has cracked on a couple of pieces but the crack doesnt seem to have gone through the ceramic. The cobalt decoration remains crisp and vibrant.
