Beautiful decorative cloth binding featuring a repeating fleur-de-lis pattern and an illustrated floral medallion on the front cover. Includes a lovely illustrated frontispiece and title page.

This copy is undated; based on the publisher, binding and format, it appears to date to the early 1900s.

The book has age-appropriate wear including soiling/discoloration to the cloth, worn/frayed areas at the spine and corners, and some wear to the binding. Pages are age-toned but generally clean. There is a handwritten Christmas inscription to the front endpaper reading, “Merry Xmas to Mary / Mary Ayres.”
