Bing&Grondahl porcelain figurine with title "Boy with the Horn" (Code 1792). The model was designed by the artist Michaela Ahlmann.
Like all Bing&Grondahl figurines, it is made entirely by hand in compliance with Danish manufacturing traditions: the ceramic paste is poured into molds and the different parts assembled by expert craftsmen; after a first firing, the figurine is decorated and enamelled by hand by a specialized painter, and is then subjected to a second firing and careful quality control. Each piece, despite deriving from the same mould, is therefore slightly unique in its pictorial rendering.
There Bing&Grondahl, founded in 1853 in Copenhagen, is one of the most prestigious Danish porcelain manufacturers, known throughout the world for its hand-painted figurines and famous Christmas dishes. Since 1987 it has been part of the Royal Copenhagen group.
On the bottom there is the original Bing&Grondahl brand with le Three Towers, inspired by the coat of arms of the city of Copenhagen, together with the model number and initials of the painter who carried out the decoration, to guarantee authenticity and original Danish production.
The figurine is in perfect condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations noted.
