Lot of 2 antique folding pocket knives for restoration or collection.

1. SHAPLEIGH HARDWARE CO. DIAMOND EDGE OFFICE KNIFE Handle stamped "OFFICE D-E KNIFE" with Diamond Edge logo. Tang stamped "SHAPLEIGH HDW CO" with D-E diamond logo, pattern number 1843 on reverse.

2-blade pen / office knife. Cream celluloid handles. Measures approx. 3.25 inches closed and 7 inches fully opened.

2. MERSCHEID GERMANY MOTHER OF PEARL PEN KNIFE Tang stamped "MERSCHEID GERMANY". Small 2-blade pen knife with genuine mother of pearl scales and hammered brass bolsters. Measures approx. 2.5 inches closed, 4.25 inches fully open.

CONDITION: Both are in HEAVY USED / PROJECT CONDITION. Please read carefully:

• Heavy dark patina, rust, pitting, and tarnish on all blades and bolsters as shown • Shapleigh blades have heavy black spotting / corrosion, edge wear • Merscheid blades are thin / worn, heavy gray patina • MOP handle on Merscheid has a visible crack through the scale • Celluloid handles on Shapleigh show age yellowing, dirt, light scratches • Sold as collectible / restoration pieces, not as users

These are true early 1900s hardware store and German import knives. Great for Shapleigh / Diamond Edge, Keen Kutter era, or mother of pearl knife collectors.
